Allanfield Group poised to enter administration

Allanfield Group has appointed administrators after finding a “deficiency in its cash resource” that it is yet “to understand”.

In a statement to the stock exchange the real estate insurance broker announced that it had moved to appoint Jason Baker and Philip Armstrong, insolvency practitioners at FRP Advisory, as administrators for the company.

The decision followed the announcement suspending trading in shares in the group on 6 December.

The statement today read: "The company has identified a deficiency in its cash resources and is seeking to understand how this has arisen.

"In the absence of any further facilities
