Barbon builds underwriting team

Barbon Insurance Group has appointed Paul Tye as underwriting director in a new role for the company.

Mr Tye has worked for the property insurance and lettings specialist as an underwriting controller for more than two years and had previously been head of underwriting at Cullum Capital Ventures (CCV).

Mark Armitage, chief operating officer at Barbon, said: "We are constantly looking at ways to ensure that we offer the best underwriting expertise and performance in the business, and this latest appointment is part of that on-going process."

FCA warns on Tempcover clone

The Financial Conduct Authority has issued a warning of fraudsters trying to scam people by pretending to be short-term car insurance specialist broker Tempcover including on TikTok.

Brokers push for more from RSA/NIG
