Ecclesiastical confirms UK broker motor market retreat

Ecclesiastical Insurance has confirmed it plans to withdraw from the UK broker motor market.

The insurer said the decision - which follows a strategic review of its UK motor business - will entail pulling back from its Ecclesiastical and Ansvar brands.

The announcement - which was first revealed by Insurance Age - will affect the insurer's fleet and motor schemes books and will take effect in early 2013.
