Aon UK unveils Carnegie-Brown as new non-exec chairman

Aon UK has unveiled Bruce Carnegie-Brown as non-executive chairman following the departure of Paul Manduca.

Mr Carnegie-Brown - who is currently non-executive director of Moneysupermarket.com - has spent 18 years in several senior leadership positions at JP Morgan Chase.

More recently, he has also spent three years at Marsh as chief executive (CEO) in the UK.

He replaces Mr Manduca who has been named the new chairman of Prudential Plc.

Mr Manduca was appointed a non-executive director of Aon in January 2006 before assuming the role of chairman in December 2008.

Aviva doubling down for customers, says Martin

Aviva is committed to pushing on with an “absolute focus on customer” and will continue “doubling down”, David Martin, managing director for UK commercial and chief distribution officer, told Insurance Age as he teased a “major new proposition” pencilled in for the end of the third quarter will catch brokers’ eyes.
