Mixed reaction from broker market to Axa restructure
Brokers have mixed views to the news that Axa will bring its commercial and personal lines broker businesses back together.
Chief executive of insurance at Jelf, Phil Barton, believes the move will give Axa the opportunity to deliver a more integrated service to brokers.
He explained: “There’s a real benefit from a broker's perspective in combining the two, it certainly makes it much easier for us to deal with one managing team and I welcome the move.“
Mr Barton also did not see a problem with the insurer reverting to the structure it boasted before November 2010 - when it opted to separate the lines.
