BLG adds to latent defects range with basement cover

Building and Land Guarantees (BLG) has further bolstered its latent defects range with the launch of Basement Shield.

The product provides a long-term warranty offering a guarantee against defective workmanship, materials and design for ten or 12 years, even after the work has been completed.

According to BLG, existing warranties do not include cover for basements unless they are constructed at the same time as the building.

And BLG director James Russell said the product will be a timely offering for people looking to renovate their homes rather than splashing out on a new place.
