Kiln receives top rating for employee happiness

Lloyd's insurer Kiln has been made it on to the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For 2012 list.

The international specialist insurance and reinsurance underwriting group placed 12th on its first attempt to make it onto the list.

In the employee happiness category the company placed second. Kiln also achieved three star accreditation, the highest level, for its “extraordinary” focus on keeping its people engaged and motivated.

Charles Franks, chief executive at Kiln, said he was thrilled with the accolade.

Aviva doubling down for customers, says Martin

Aviva is committed to pushing on with an “absolute focus on customer” and will continue “doubling down”, David Martin, managing director for UK commercial and chief distribution officer, told Insurance Age as he teased a “major new proposition” pencilled in for the end of the third quarter will catch brokers’ eyes.
