Manchester appointments boost regional underwriting presence

Arista and Sterling have both made several appointments to their offices in Manchester.

Jim Morrison has been appointed as regional manager for the North at Arista, and Steve Davidson has been named senior underwriter.

Karen Fendell has been promoted to the role of fleet underwriter, also based at the commercial provider's Manchester office.

High net worth (HNW) specialist Sterling has announced the team that is to run its new office in the city, due to open in March.

Aviva doubling down for customers, says Martin

Aviva is committed to pushing on with an “absolute focus on customer” and will continue “doubling down”, David Martin, managing director for UK commercial and chief distribution officer, told Insurance Age as he teased a “major new proposition” pencilled in for the end of the third quarter will catch brokers’ eyes.
