“It’s not that I want to make you all feel bad it’s just that, for brokers, there hasn’t been a lot to be cheerful about”

It has been suggested to me that my editorial pieces have been somewhat downbeat of late. It’s not that I want to make you all feel bad it’s just that, for brokers, there hasn’t been a lot to be cheerful about. And I’m afraid this month it’s going to be downbeat again, but there is a little bit of sugar at the end.

As you will see from the news analysis pages, there have been whisperings of a hardening market. There is nothing approaching a consensus at the moment but there are enough people
