FSA issues warning about motor broker Aston Midshires
The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has warned customers of motor broker Aston Midshires Insurance to check that their insurance policies are valid.
The regulator said it had received reports of customers not getting their policies, with the broker failing to properly register details and premiums.
The watchdog added that policies sold by the company may claim the underwriter was European Wood AB, a company authorised by the Swedish financial regulator, Finansinspektionen.
However it highlighted that European Wood AB was in liquidation and policies underwritten by them may no longer provide insurance cover as expected.
