Dual expands into IT sector with Chartis hire

Dual Corporate Risks has appointed Christopher Blake as a professional indemnity (PI) underwriter in its national business unit.

Mr Blake was previously at Chartis where he spent four years in the financial lines team.

The company stated that his appointment is in line with the company's expansion into IT for which it said it had produced a dedicated PI, public liability and products liability form.

Dual added that Mr Blake already enjoyed strong support from brokers in this arena and other areas of technical underwriting.

Commenting on the appointment, Jennifer Martin, underwriting director of Dual Corporate Risks, said

Aviva doubling down for customers, says Martin

Aviva is committed to pushing on with an “absolute focus on customer” and will continue “doubling down”, David Martin, managing director for UK commercial and chief distribution officer, told Insurance Age as he teased a “major new proposition” pencilled in for the end of the third quarter will catch brokers’ eyes.
