Markel makes management changes
Markel International has made some senior management changes to Markel UK, its retail division, which it said were designed to allow the business to develop retail opportunities worldwide.
Steve Carroll, who has been responsible for the expansion of Markel UK since its formation in 1990, has been appointed to a wider retail role.
A Markel International board member, Mr Carroll is now director of retail and the overall head of all Markel International's retail businesses both in the UK and overseas.
Simon Fell has been promoted to divisional managing director of Markel UK, succeeding Mr Carroll in his former role.
