Esure launches broker offering ahead of IPO

Esure has revealed its intention to move into the broker market with the launch of Esure broker.

The insurer has appointed Jon Morrell as managing director of a new venture that it hopes will widen the footprint of the Esure and Sheilas' Wheels brands to service risks the company does not underwrite directly.

Esure said the offering had been designed to create a third revenue stream for the business as it headed towards IPO alongside its core motor and home underwriting activity and its investment in Gocompare.com.

Mr Morrell's role will involve building a broker panel which Esure said
