Broker Network and Countrywide make two hires after record growth

Nick Houghton

Broker Network and Countrywide have claimed the 19 members signing up in 2011 so far was the result of “extraordinary” levels of new membership enquiries totalling an additional £40m of annualised gross written premium.

The company has made two appointments which it said were in support of this growth. Andrew Mirfin has been appointed head of sales and John Neill, head of business development for Broker Network.

Mr Mirfin began his career in financial services working for Black Horse Agencies, Bradford and Bingley and General Accident, where he was promoted to the role of regional sales manager, managing a team of 17 sales consultants.

Mr Neill worked for AA Insurance Services, Aon and Lycetts Insurance Brokers
