Biba rallies brokers to lobby Parliament on FSCS fees
The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (Biba) has contacted members urging them to write to their Member of Parliament regarding the escalating cost of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).
In an email members received a draft letter to send to their MP highlighting the issue. According to the association, the letter "seeks the MP's help in encouraging the FSA to proceed urgently with consulting on a revised model."
While each letter needs personalising by the sender, Biba has provided the name and contact details of the local MP for each of its members. The association has also urged members to include in their submission a copy of its Parliamentary briefing paper on the
