Brokers vital to Pruhealth's new product launch

Pruhealth is targeting general insurance brokers at the launch of its first range of healthcare plans since the acquisition of Standard Life Health (SLH) in August last year.

The fourth largest private medical insurance provider is launching the new range to intermediaries over the next two weeks. Brokers will be able to quote for new business from the 31 January for policies starting from the 1 March 2011.

Dave Priestley, sales and marketing director at Pruhealth, said: "We have developed an extensive footprint in the specialist intermediary sector and we would now like to broaden this out and embark on new relationships with general insurance brokers."
