Product launch: Biba and Broker Direct unite
The British Insurance Brokers' Association (Biba) has appointed Broker Direct as a scheme provider to offer access to its private motor and light commercial vehicle products to all members.
The private car is a standard facility that will not cater for young drivers or anyone with a conviction. According to Steve Foulsham, Biba's technical services manager, the product was requested by 21% of brokers in its September survey on schemes.
The light commercial vehicle is aimed at local businesses with one or two vehicles. Mr Foulsham confirmed members would have a fast track agency application form, enabling them to go live within minutes. It also offers flexible net rate commission.
