Zurich restructures UK business

Zurich has announced changes to the organisational structure of its UK general insurance (UKGI) business in a bid to bolster its accountability to the market.

From the beginning of next year, Zurich’s UK operation will operate through three market facing units - Commercial Broker, Personal Lines and Zurich Municipal - each led by a managing director with full accountability for the performance of their business.

The managing directors’ responsibilities will extend across all functions of the business from sales through to claims settlement.

Commercial Broker, led by Dave Smith, will be accountable for the growth and development of commercial lines
