Chris Blackham, former chief executive of Layton Blackham, opens boutique investment house Endorphin to invest in brokers.

The aim of Endorphin is to act as a management consultancy and investment house with private equity backing to invest in brokers that are struggling to obtain finance or have too many debts and costs.

Chris Blackham said: "Although our consultancy will provide advice to the entire industry, the primary goal of our investment house will be to concentrate on finding the insurance entrepeneurs of tomorrow and helping them succeed. This we will do by providing a select number of new start ups
