BIBA 2010: Galbraith calls on Government to introduce the "right legislation"

The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (Biba) is set to launch a major lobbying campaign to promote the role of the broker to the Liberal-Conservative coalition government.

In his opening comments at today’s British Insurance Brokers' Association (Biba) conference in London, its chief executive Eric Galbraith, was expected to call on all brokers to lend their support to this initiative and for the Government to introduce “the right regulation and the right supervision at the right cost”.

Biba 2024: FCA to take its time on transparency proposals

Emily Shepperd, chief operating officer of the Financial Conduct Authority, has said the regulator was “overwhelmed” at the response and amount of feedback to its transparency proposals, and that it is going to “really take our time” when considering any possible next steps.
