Markel hires accident and health chief
Markel International, the specialist property and casualty insurer, has appointed Mike Bridgeman to head the development of accident and health business within its specialty division.
Mr Bridgeman, who joins the company on 1 May and will be based in London, has more than 20 years of underwriting experience both in the Lloyd’s and company markets.
He joins Markel after 11 years at QBE where he most recently held the position of head of accident and health.
He will be responsible for developing a broad-based accident and health account and establish a market-leading underwriting team, focusing on the following areas of business: London market/high risk; sports; schemes/affinity
