Aon was the lead broker for the Ethiopian Airlines plane which crashed on January 25th, Insurance Age's sister title Reinsurance has revealed.
According to reports, the plane crashed into the Mediterranean Sea just two miles off Naameh, shortly after it had taken off from Beirut International Airport. Ace was the lead insurer for the crashed plane.
The aircraft, a B737-800 jet hybrid with an insured value of $39m, was carrying 82 passengers and eight crew.
Aon declined to comment.
