Aon has already paid Manchester United £35.9m
As part of its four year sponsorship of Manchester United, Aon has handed over a significant downpayment
According to an SEC filing, Aon made a downpayment of £35.9m to Manchester United in the second quarter of 2009 after agreeing a four year sponsorship starting in the 2010-11 season. The deal is worth approximately £20m a year, and money already paid to Man U includes a downpayment of around £8.6m for each year of the contract. The downpayment emerged after Manchester United launched a £500m bond offer earlier this month with an Offering Memorandum.
Aon refused to comment.
