Claims service neglected in slump

Broker bodies have agreed that insurers' claims service has worsened during the recession as new research revealed the majority of intermediaries were battling harder to get payouts.

According to findings from the British Insurance Brokers' Association (Biba), 58% of brokers have had to put in more work to get claims paid in the current economic climate.
