Dennis Lomas, former financial director of Independent Insurance, will not be appealing the jury's decision that found him guilty of conspiracy to defraud. Lomas' solicitor has confirmed that Lomas was resigned to accept the sentencing of four years in prison, though it is believed widely that he will serve only two of them. Fellow directors Michael Bright and Philip Condon's solicitors had declined to comment on their clients' choice on whether to appeal or not as PB went to press.
