Hull-based Oughtred & Harrison has bought Mills and Wood; its thirdacquisition in as many months. Mills and Wood has a client base of over
3800 and is the largest of the recent acquisitions made by O&H. This
latest deal, along with purchases of brokers in Louth, Lincolnshire and
Ludlow, has increased O&H's customer base by more than 8000. All 12 Mills
and Wood staff will be kept on, with Tony Edwards remaining as managing
director and Stuart Gregory becoming divisional director for Chippenham.
