St Paul has bought the renewal rights to Norwich Union's professional
indemnity portfolio. The business is believed to be worth in the region of
£15m.


Under the agreement, St Paul will provide renewal quotations for NU's
existing customers as well as a PI and directors and officers facility for
NU's key commercial brokers. St Paul will become NU's recommended PI
insurer. The agreement will take effect for renewals at the end of the
year, with NU commercial brokers being contacted by St Paul at this
