Bank-assurers are leading the way for insurance intermediaries, according to a new industry report.
Lloyds TSB Insurance Services, Clydsdale Bank Insurance Brokers and Royal Bank Insurance Services topped the league for pre-tax profit margin, earing pre-tax profits of 92%, 81.8% and 73.3% respectively in the year 2000-2001. These groups also saw rapid growth, growing 20%, 25% and 35% larger respectively from the year 1998-1999 to 2000-2001.
