Devitt Insurance Services is moving its operation and 125 employeesfrom Stratford in east London to Romford in Essex this month. In addition,
it said it would take on about 100 further staff over the next year. The
company began business in 1936, offering instant cover to motorcyclists
through motorcycle dealers. It now sells motor, household and travel
cover, including policies under the names Douglas Cox Tyrie, Carapace,
travelcover.com and Travel Insurance Services.
