The Helm Group has undergone a management buyout, following the retirement of group chairman and majority shareholder Peter Carr Simmonds.

The MBO was led by directors Dave Hare, Arthur Farrow, John Kenway, Bill Pittman and John Stephenson. Dave Hare has been appointed managing director and Arthur Farrow chairman of the group. The deal was funded by Halifax Bank of Scotland for an undisclosed sum.
