As an industry we must make sure that we do not waste the opportunity to set up an effective self-regulatory body, as compliance is the key to consumer confidence.

I have little sympathy for those companies who continued to ignore
the well-documented fact that their agencies would be cancelled if they
chose to ignore the ABI Code of Practice.


It is the issue of compliance that has been of utmost importance recently,
even with market news dominated by mergers and acquisitions, the continued
polarisation of the broker market, the government decision to repeal the
Insurance Broker's Registration Act and the continued political battles
within the trade
