Lloyd's has strengthened the mutual fund that backs all its policiesby arranging £500m of cover for it in a five-year deal.
Swiss Re is leading a group of six insurers - Employers Re, St Paul,
Hannover Re, XL Mid Ocean Re and Chubb - in providing the cover for
Lloyd's central fund. The policy offers annual cover of £350m, excess of
£100m, to a five-year maximum of £500m.
The insurance, added to the £175m in the central fund and Lloyd's ability
to call for a further £300m from members, means Lloyd
