Niche insurer the IGI Group has been acquired by AmTrust Financial Services, for an undisclosed sum. Keith Wardell, managing director of IGI, stated: "This development is hugely positive for IGI, and a key step in our continued progression. Over the past 12 months we've made great strides in the UK and European markets and we feel that by joining AmTrust's family of insurers we can exceed our bold targets by 2009."
