Independent insurance broker Crosbie & Jack has acquired Aberdeen broker Ferguson Law. The deal, closed at the beginning of June, will see Crosbie & Jack's current Aberdeen-based staff move to Ferguson Law's offices in the city, with all staff being retained.

As a result, the family-run business has increased its premium sales turnover to around £22m. Crosbie & Jack has completed four other deals in the last two years, including the acquisition in the last month of James Davis in Glasgow, which
