Essex-based LFC Insurance Brokers has expanded into the south of England with the purchase of Brighton broker Mainstay UK.
Mainstay UK will bring to the deal 24 staff and a gross written premium of £8.5m, and its two offices in Brighton and Bexhill will relocate to an office in Eastbourne by the end of March.
The broker has a 90% commercial book of business, which LFC managing director Jerry Clayton described as a "good mix".
Mainstay will be renamed LFC Mainstay, and Clayton has already given
