Sarah Wilson, director of high-street firms at the Financial Services
Authority, will leave the regulator early next year to have a baby.


Ms Wilson will be away for a minimum of three months during the
consultation period but does intend to return to the regulator. Her
position will be left vacant until her return.


Ms Wilson is responsible for mortgage and general insurance regulation and
reports directly to FSA managing director John Tiner. She took up the role
in March 2002.
