The Association of British Insurers chairman, Richard Harvey, has called for more to be done to promote the benefits brought about by the insurance industry.

Speaking at the ABI's biennial conference Creating Security in a Risky World, he heralded its two new research reports on the economic and social benefits of general insurance. He said: "We often take our story for granted. But, what passes unsaid remains unheard. Our industry has a positive story to tell and we should all be proud to tell
