Professional indemnity specialist broker Alfred Blackmore has beenacquired by South African broker Alexander Forbes, for £25m.
An additional £0.25m will be paid if Alfred Blackmore earns more than
£2.7m profit by April 2001. John Northridge, Alfred Blackmore's group
chairman and chief executive, will join the board of Alexander Forbes
UK.
Alfred Blackmore was the 40th largest broker in the UK, generating revenue
of £14.2m and a profit after tax of £2.2m in the year ended 31 March
2000.
