The British Insurance Brokers Association is in talks with IBMregarding the creation of an IT solution that would ease trading and
communication between brokers, insurers and their clients without the need
for system upgrades.
BIBA chief executive Mike Williams told PB that such a system would have
to use the Internet and must be supported by Microsoft so that it does not
have to be created from scratch.
It is likely that a strategy will be in place by the end of the year.
