The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has declared that it will be reviewing the effectiveness of its general insurance regulatory regime in 2006.

The review, which was announced at the UK Insurance & Financial Services conference held by the Chartered Insurance Institute, will begin in April 2006 and will focus on retail conduct of business requirements and the regime's effectiveness in meeting its goals for consumers.
