The Treasury's decision last month to give the Financial Services Authority (FSA) responsibility for regulating the provision of travel insurance sold alongside a holiday has generated a mixed response from the industry. Although the decision will be enforced in January 2009, the situation has not yet progressed far beyond a running battle between travel agents and the insurance industry.
