Following the publication of Emerging Thinking, the Competition Commission's document on payment protection insurance (PPI), I am delighted to find that the integrity of the insurance industry and intermediaries remains intact - we have been given a clean bill of health. For years, I have maintained that the product itself is sound - apart from single premium cover - and when sold properly will provide peace of mind for those who are unable to continue with their loan and credit repayments.
