Howden buys Aston Lark
The deal is Howden’s largest acquisition to date and creates a £6bn GWP UK business in “deal a decade in the making”.
Howden, the international insurance broking group, has agreed to acquire Aston Lark from Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Bowmark Capital.
According to a joint statement, the “highly complementary union” completes Howden’s UK broking business, with Aston Lark joining A-Plan Group and Howden UK to create a full-service broker unrivalled in its quality, scale and reach in the UK.
Howden added personal lines High Street specialists, A-Plan, to its portfolio in 2020.
