Insurers reaction to discount rate doesn't reflect well on profession, says Arag
The insurer's managing director said the the ABI's focus on the 'crazy' decision "showed no compassion" to injured victims.
Reactions from the insurance industry on the announcement of the discount rate change do "not reflect well" on the profession, said Tony Buss, managing director at Arag.
Buss issued a statement following the recent media coverage of the government's decision to cut the discount rate applied to serious injury claims from 2.5% to minus 0.75%.
