Biba advisory board chair calls for guarantees around Flood Re exclusions

Tim Ryan says government must seize opportunity to find cover for excluded groups.

The chairman of the British Insurance Brokers’ Association (Biba) networks and MGA advisory board has called on the government to find a solution for groups excluded from Flood Re.

Tim Ryan, who is also executive chairman of broker alliance Una, said he was seeking guarantees that these groups, which includes SMEs, charities and millions of leasehold properties around the UK, will get the necessary cover.

Brokers upbeat on 2024 growth – Aviva

Brokers are more optimistic about growth in the coming year than they have been since before 2020, according to Aviva, with 83% expecting their business to grow compared to 76% last year.
