CEO Carl Shuker explains why, after 33 years with the broker, he still backs A-Plan’s traditional high-street model over online quote-and-buy
In a world where brokers hear frequent exhortations about the importance of having good buy-online propositions, it is interesting that A-Plan is bucking the trend.
As Carl Shuker – the chief executive officer of the firm whose business is 90% personal lines – explains, the broker does not sell or quote general insurance online.
The absence of such trade is part of a carefully calculated strategy which serves the company well, according to the CEO.
He asserts that A-Plan operates a high-street
