Oxford Insurance Brokers Limited (OIB) is offering IFAs a new two year professional indemnity deal as it looks to take advantage of opportunities arising from the Retail Distribution Review and a reduction in capacity in the market.

The offer, provided in partnership with Collegiate Underwriting, claims to provide the “widest policy wordings available” and “unrivalled claims handling ability”.

Neill Cotton, managing director of OIB, said: “IFA’s time and finances are already stretched and thus we are pleased to create this facility that offers wide policy coverage at competitive rates for a two-year period.

“Collegiate’s experience in both underwriting and claims handling are second to none and with Lloyd’s (guarantee) backed security behind them, we are delighted to partner with them.”

Richard Turnbull, underwriting director, Collegiate Underwriting, said: “Our experience means that we are uniquely placed to understand the risks IFAs face, the regulatory environment in which they operate and the compensatory framework to which they are subject.

“Our commitment to insuring financial advisers is demonstrated by our track record and this deal offers a degree of certainty to IFAs in difficult times.”
