Products: Central Insurance offers new charity policy
Central Insurance has joined forces with Hiscox to launch a new charity policy. It is the first tie-up between the Aberdeen-based broker and the specialist insurer in a move the two claimed was designed to meet the entire spectrum of insurance needs for Scottish non-profit organisations in a single policy.
They highlighted that while charity insurance products traditionally provided liability and property cover, other risks such as event cancellation were not necessarily included, leaving potential gaps. John Heaney, head of professions and specialty commercial division at Hiscox, explained: “This product combines the financial protection that trustees should have, such as professional indemnity and trustees liability cover, with conventional commercial cover that every charity needs.”
