
Product launch: Extended brand protection

According to the broker, while traditional cover protects against actual or alleged cases of contamination reported in the press, the new product will also pay out for public health scares. Even in the absence of contamination or tampering the insurance will pay for loss of profit or PR and marketing campaigns if, for example, the media suggests the ingredients in the food could lead to health problems.
