CII appoints John Bissell as COO

Bissell previously worked at the Association for Cooperative Operations Research and Development.

John Bissell has been appointed chief operating officer (COO) of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).

Roger Hearn, who remains with the CII, had held the position on an interim basis since the departure of Jamie Heath in January last year.

Bissell's most recent position was as senior vice president at the not-for-profit Association for Cooperative Operations Research and Development where he was responsible for global operations and development.
